Cardamom Cake

1 egg
150ml sugar
400ml plain flour
2tsp baking powder
1-2tsp ground cardamom
150ml milk
100g melted butter

Preheat oven to 175oc.

Whisk egg and sugar until white and fluffy (preferably using electric whisk).
Mix the dry ingredients together and add it to the egg mixture. Add the milk and the melted butter and stir for a couple of seconds until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a greased loaf tin.
Bake in the middle of the oven for 35-45minutes.
Check if the cake is baked by sticking a toothpick in it, if the toothpick comes out clean the cake is ready.
