Chocolate Cake

I made this chocolate cake a while ago and finally got around to put the recipe on here. I find that the cake and icing cover are great but I keep feeling that the icing filling could be improved on. I think that it is to dens and slightly to hard for a filling so anyone who can suggest a better filling please let me know and I’ll try it next time.

  1. I make a chocolate filling that is served semi frozen on a chocolate and almond base, it might work. Melt 250 g dark chocolate. Let it cool. Whip 3 decilitres duoble cream (not too hard). Mix 2 egg yolks into the chocolate, then add the whipped cream, a little at a time. Ready! I put this on top of a base made from 400 g mandelmassa (almond paste?!) grated and mixed with 4 eggs and 2 dessertspoons cacao. 175 c for 30-35 minutes. Freeze when cool , then put the chocolate mixture on top and freeze again. To be eaten semi frozen! Let me know if it works!
